"It’s a moment of great joy and confidence to hand the leadership of Adyan to a companion in this journey since the foundation moment more than 14 years ago, Dr Nayla Tabbara, who becomes the President of Adyan Foundation. To her and to the other elected members of the Board of Directors my best wishes of success and joy.

Adyan was founded in the midst of the war to always be an instrument of reviving hope, building peace and fostering solidarity. This is nowadays needed more than ever, not only in Lebanon and in the Middle-East, but also globally.

With the leadership of Nayla, the board, the team, the whole community, and the support of our partners, Adyan will continue meeting these challenges with the most creative and effective response. I will continue having the privilege of serving the Foundation as Advisor, Senior Expert and in its Board of Trustees".

"It is with great joy that I take on the leadership of Adyan, 15 years after its foundation, years in which Father Fadi Daou has worked day and night to make Adyan what it is today, on the level of its mission, its structure and its scope. 

Since we founded it, Adyan has been working for what we believe are the fundamental values for our world: diversity, solidarity and human dignity. If in the first years we focused more on mutual understanding and on changing mentalities, we then realized that we needed to complement this with an effort to change policies in the direction of Inclusive Citizenship and Freedom of Religion and Belief. Recently, with the growing need for social solidarity, we have decided to add this dimension to our work.

It is an honor for me to serve with the new elected board, this ever growing mission that tries to integrate new challenges and needs on the foundation of human rights values that leave no one behind, and on the belief that all effort done in good faith does make a difference in our world, especially if we do this effort together".
